Spinney is particularly popular with those
visiting the adjacent Nature Reserve and the many other important wildlife
sites of the region, and provides the ideal base for touring the remarkable
natural history and heritage of the Fens, and the North Norfolk Coast.
Within a few miles are the historic towns of Ely,
with its magnificent cathedral, and Newmarket, the heart of British
horseracing.
The Fens and East Anglia are very popular
for the touring cyclist, with low rainfall, very few hills and light
traffic. Spinney Abbey is the ideal place to start such a tour and many
places of interest are easily reached by bicycle from the farm.
